They could also bring their own angle grinder, they can then use your electricity too.
Now the neighbours will probably think you have got around to cutting those bumpers off, and the angle grinder noise will be ignored.
The other point is, can the contents of your garage be seen from the street when the door is left open?
Gun cabinets are quite distinctive, best hidden in another cupboard.

Yeah good point I guess, I can make the garage pretty hard to access, but someone determined could still force their way in, all be it a noisy one
As you say, Guess I will just find another happy home for it.
