I never understand the point of school reunions. If you thought anything of your "school mates" you would have kept in touch over the years.

The fact you haven't means that your life has moved on, you then started to get a real life, and mix with people that have different aims and objectives than your so called mates at school.

For people to moan about no shows on facebook, just shows the type of atmosphere you have had the pleasure to miss.

You were only 16 or barely 18 at the time, take a look at this modern age group, they seem so immature. Do you really want to go back to that era and try to rekindle relationships... WHY ?

Going back to a time when there were really few responsibilities, not a care in the world, compared to your current daily worries, in my opinion is for losers.

There will be a group who want to rub in your face... " Look how well I have done" but are they happy? the fact they have come to a reunion, to me shows how insecure they are with them selves, in their current life.

You have made the right decision, this is your life TODAY, not 25 years ago, but for me, it's much much longer.

job, 100% the right choice. Mate, posting on FB and slagging off no shows prove that the event was a waste of time and an excuse for the old nobheads to take the piss. the fact is, if any of those people want to be friends, they will get in touch and stay in touch but this is your job, your life NOW and is completely 100% I cant stress it enough the FIRST and ONLY choice and if they don't like it

If they where real mates they would understand that a job now days is something you can't afford to turn down.
There is a reason I didn't got to my school re union.they where all knob heads at school so why would I want to re live that.

plus, who do they think they are slagging off "no shows"? they don't know every bodies circumstances. Have they learned nothing in life over the last 25 years? makes me mad when people are like that.

Actually... even though I have said my two penneth... as have others..
I just had a thought...

What is not actually clear, is how many of these past reunions have you had the "pleasure" to frequent.

Because if you have been to lots of them, then you have kept up with your past "friends" and most of our comments are not appropriate.

But if this is the first that you are considering, then I rest my case.

Best regards,

Rustic

I would not bother with the reunion put the present first and go for the job.

People who moan about non-showers are just looking for an ego massage.

I have never gone to a school reunion as I see no value in finding people you never liked have done better than you.
I also think shardenfreude is not a good trait either!
