Lucy who was in the Patrol with me can remember nothing about the accident following the initial impact and she is fine. I can remember everything, from seeing him bearing down on us, the initial impact, the sliding up the motorway on our side, the impact with the Armco, the numerous rolls and then coming to rest upside down and shouting Lucy 3 or 4 times before she answered me and thinking "Oh my god she's gone". Then sitting there (albeit doing a headstand ) trapped not knowing weather the thing was going to go up in flames any second..... then the trauma of feeling helpless for almost an hour until the Spanish firemen cut me free, all the time this was going on I hadn't got a clue what was happening as I can't speak Spanish and the firemen spoke no English. |

I have attended many RTC's in which people have lost their lives or walked away.
You were both very lucky to get out of that and walk away, it's very hard when the casualties don't speak the local lingo, we have more foreign drivers over here now. Some accidents I have attended are just unreal, and you think, how the F did you get out of that, or a few inches the other way and they would still be alive, it's that close some times. I believe, that if your numbers up, it's up. Did you do the lottery after that BAT |

Great pics Bat . Your roof tent looks a nice bit of kit. I was just showing the missus these pics and she remarked that she would like one for the Patrol, she could have said before we bought a brand new tintent

Just bought a Autohome Maggiolina Safari that has replaced the Howling Moon tent.
The tent is a great bit of kit but I wanted something that can be erected in seconds and also packed away with minimal effort. The Howling Moon takes about 12 minutes to put up, and about 20 to pack away.... the Maggiolina takes about 30 seconds to put up and 2 minutes to pack away Still have the tent, want to try the new setup before we decide to sell. |

Going back to the loose stuff I can also confirm all my stuff is tied down, now
When I parked my truck on it's side there was actually very little loose, but what there was came at me from all angles 1st time I did the bomb hole many years ago, I went down a tad too fast. hit the bottom with great enthusiasm and cleaned the back sets of ALL shite and promptly filled the dash and my hoodie I now have many tie downs |
