There quite easy to service yourself Len, Filters are a doddle, especially the oil filter, I don't think I have mentioned how easy the oil filter on the 3.0l is to change
I wonder if you have one of the club members living near you, who may be able to help out.

yes i have always done me own servicing for all the family as well but last year i had a Heart Attack had a tripple by pass but am on top form again but the wife says no . this is a first for me so thats how come i don`t know whitch garage to go for cos you do it yourself you know it`s been done .

Glad you are on the mend mate and the wife is probably right on this one

I'm sure we'll have some members close by who wouldn't mind the trip to you to help you out

If I was closer I would be there like a shot mate, nice that we have such a diverse age range on here, my Grandad is 76 and can't work the cordless landline phone correctly bless him

55 plate T2 with 55K on the clock so the engine will out last the body as I only do around 5-6K a year Highest mileage i've had was my Capri with 180K on the clock but no2 con rod said bye bye doing 60 in second & left via the bonnet

94 4.2 Trol 86k miles. Have also got an 89 Land Cruiser 4.0D done 298K miles 35 stamps in the book runs sweet but not as much power as the Trol.

My last T2 145,000 I sold to my local garage he is using as a run about picking up parts calling to breakers yard up he drives home at night he loves it he wants my newer one

My latest T2 45,000

2001 T2 with 74k on the clock, there's a dealer round these parts selling a Pathfinder with 300k on it!

Highest mileage car I ever owned was one of the old square Proton 1.5's with 250k on it, it was an ex taxi and was on it's 3rd gearbox, The engine was still running like a sewing machine when the electrics died.

'97 rd Terrano is on bout 130k if I remember right (no seen clocks in a while) & my '95 surf's on 207k both are still good (well terrano will b when finished lol)
