A good driver should know his/her driving abilities,no matter what vehicle they are driving,
I know i do.I have tested my T2 in snow ice mud and steep hills. Its about having some common sense. And not thinking oh i have a 4x4 so therefore i can go anywhere.
A little foresight goes a long way towards not getting stuck.Someone once asked me,why do i go off roading, just get stuck. My answer was i dont want to get stuck.
As someone has already said "its the nut on behind the steering wheel"

at pay & play I get stuck regular, but only cos I go OTT, and ground it, all the time I have chassis clearance, I am unstoppable, Rick

nothing wrong with Maverick /Terranos although sometimes when you forget you haven't got a snorkel a passing Landy comes in handy

This guy must be trolling and has no offroading experience !

There was a stock disco out with us on Sunday on at tyres, he was getting stuck everywhere, the guy was sooo embarrassed. All 4x4 are equal as stock, add 2" lift and 265 or 31" mud tyres and suddenly a vehicle is transformed !

Add 33s and again you have an advantage

The only real gain from that point is a mega modded Landy/patrol etc with big tyres and fully articulating axles monster lift etc
