Problem with any of this though, for greatest accuracy, you would need feed back from potentiometers or similar, giving the current position of the light in the two dimensions. Unless stepper motors were used, like in your printer.

If you don't, your lights would soon become cross eyed...

Actually, I like the idea of it becoming cross eyed... then you would need to press "Ctrl Alt Del" to get it all back on track..
