Off to Morocco - again!
Just over a week to go and I'm off to Morocco again.
This time I'm going just for me, on my own, no off road bikes to follow and support and travelling to my own time table. I will be away about a month and in Morocco about 3 weeks. I'm going to the http://www.adventureoverlandshow.com/, for the Saturday, on the way down to the tunnel and then across France via the Millau Bridge and down to Sete for the ferry to Nador and then it's south to the desert. I've sorted the Terrano so I can sleep in the back and have a Carenex tent that fixes over the back door if I want a bit more room although I do plan to have the odd night under a roof just so I can have a shower. I've got a couple of contacts who are taking part in the http://rallyemaroc.npo.fr/?lang=en and I've been promised a paddock pass in return for a bit of spannering if required. I haven't been near anything like it before so it should be a good experience. Peter |

Sounds like an amazing trip. I'd love to do something similar. And the rally, well thats just the icing on the cake!

Having just viewed the Alaska thread I can't promise anything to that standard but I will do my best.
In 1976 we drove the Alaska Highway in an old school bus when it was gravel from Edmonton to the Alaska border. Those pictures brought back some good memories. We came back via Dawson Creek which was the centre of the gold rush, not quite a ghost town then but not much going on except a few tourists and some abandoned river boats on the Yukon River. Three small kids and not much money - happy days. Peter |
