Default Speeding fine on the way :(

To top off a crap day, involving 5 hours in A&E with my wife after a door fell on her head, I got zapped on the way home at midnight!

I pulled up at the lights, to go straight on, when a yoof on a hairdryer pulls up in the right hand filter lane. Straight ahead go green, filter stay red, and yoof pulls off, so through a red light, and cuts me up to go straight on....

I'm so annoyed at his idiocy, that I fail to see the well hidden traffic cop with a handheld until I am right on him.

Midnight, quiet road, 30 limit, and I'm showing 37 to 38 on the speedo. I might be lucky....

But who gets away with it? Yoof, thats who. Speeding, due care and attention, jumping a red light. But no number plate on the front.....

bugger......

If it was Plod with a handheld and he didn't come after you I guess you are safe
38mph of the light in a terrano- he probably couldn't believe it anyway

terrano speedo is usually about 5mph out anyway so your real speed would have been about 32mph you're allowed upto 35mph before they do ya

It's usually 10% + 1 so if it was a 30mph zone 34mph, I know my Mav's speedo is out by at least 3mph so you might be lucky mate

If he didn't come after you there and then you will be ok.

Also when they are checking speeds by 'hand' they only really go for the people proper taking the piss.

Sounds a bit weird that he was out with a speed gun at that time of night
