Have i read this wrong
Cos it dont look like any Terrano that i have ever seen.
http://www.autogadget46.com/2013/06/...this-year.html EDIT. I have just found this. Updated: Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 9:46 [IST] Ads by Google Nearly New Honda Nearly New & Used Cars With Prices Up To 40% Cheaper Than Main Dealers TheCarPeople.co.uk/Honda 2013 Nissan Note Only £10,450 With Immediate Delivery At Crystal Nissan crystalmotorgroup.co.uk Last week rumors surfaced that Nissan's rebadged version of the Duster compact SUV would be called Terrano. Terrano was the name of a Nissan SUV model from the 1990s, which was eventually discontinued. Now, it is a rumor no more as Nissan has officially announced the name "Terrano". Nissan Terrano will be the facelifted and rebadged Renault Duster which the Japanese automaker will launch in India later this year. Nissan Terrano will be marketed as a premium SUV though, unlike the Duster. A premium SUV Nissan needs to do this since it has to differentiate the Terrano from the Duster. Since Renault is already selling the Duster as a compact SUV, the Terrano cannot be pitched in as a direct competitor. Also, as per the rules of the strategic partnership between Renault and Nissan, Terrano being a derivative of the Duster has to be priced higher. This higher price tag allows Nissan to provide Terrano with premium features. A new engine perhaps Going by the official rendering it looks like the Terrano will be able to accommodate a larger engine. Also, higher price tag justifies a larger, more powerful engine. This could mean Nissan will introduce a turbocharged 2.0 liter diesel engine in place of the Renault 1.5 liter diesel unit. Price The question on everyones mind. Since Nissan has made it clear the Terrano will be a premium SUV, we can easily guesstimate the starting price to be range of INR 12-15 lakhs. Expect the top end variant to approach the INR 20 lakhs mark. Read more at: http://www.drivespark.com/four-wheel...ic-004923.html |

I like the Dacia duster...I like Dacia period, so a Nissan version would be pretty cool, especially if they are bringing the Terrano name back, Terrano is a Awesome intimidating name for a vehicle

nissan havent worked with ford since end of mk2 terrano2/maverick around 99 when
ford went with their partner mazda. not sure on date but could be round then when renault aquired nissan. didnt realise dacia were part of renault, but hey what ever, lets be happy the terrano will live again, the terrano3 perhaps? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Motor_Company says nissan worked with ford 93 to 02, projects including mini vans (USA?) and our R20 also that nissan hit financial issues in 99 and joined renault, says the maverick based on r20 t2 discontinued 98. further renault doesnt own nissan only a 44.3% share and nissan a 15% share of renault, ie an alliance.

The diesel fitted in the Duster (1500cc) is a Nissan unit, same as fitted to the Juke and that other one beginning with Q!
Maybe supplying the engine was part of a bigger deal? Mick |
