ever wished you kept that old motor !
i suppose wev,e all been there ,had many cars in the past sold em never thinking it may go up in value or turn out to be a classic or collectors as time goes by.. one of my first cars was a beetle 1302s denim interior very rare called JEANS very basic i was young £150 changed hands insurance £43.00 yes 12mth cover , the car ment very little to me at the time as it was just cheap transport that suited my pocket but im amazed how much this car has increased in value over the years & being a jeans model in good nick would be bringing a few grand now... wished id hung on to it dam! !

There is a guy near me who has a GT6 in his barn.
He was storing it for someone for a few years and the owner has dissappeared. The guy is going to sell it to cover the rent owed I'm tempted, but the wife would kill me |

an old school mate when we was 17 bought a ford capri RS3100 in red with recaro seats it was a stunning motor but sadly at his age he couldnt get insured so in the garage it went...yrs rolled on & 34yrs later he still has the car covered in thick dust but im sure by now with a bit of TLC & attension that motor will be worth few quid now never seen one in years on road

only one i wish I had kept, is my old Fourtrak Fieldman!!!
When I got it, i didnt know too much about 4x4's. NOW, I realise it was a much better car mechanically etc than I thought it was, and though I sold it for £350, it would probably be worth well over £1k now. ok, not the same league as a Gt6 or an Escort, but its one of those things where it was almost not even worth selling for £350. If Id have kept it, done it up, it would have paid me back nicely. |
