Do a google for Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby.

I wish them the best of luck with this project, I've been following this for a few years now but now things appear to be moving a pace. Perhaps an appearance on the display circuit next year? lets hope so as it'll one huge spectacle to see two Lancasters in formation.

PS So much nicer to look at than a scabby old misty

brought a tear to my eye, I remember being in a lancaster bomber flying out of Raf Shawbury
near Shewsbury when I was an air cadet. bri

Some of the Lancaters were built at Metropolitan- Vickers in Trafford Park where my father worked, about a mile from where we lived..

A similar subject to the Lanc, may be of more importance. Anyway the very best of look to these people recovering these aircraft, it must be very exciting for them.

Yeah, I was looking at that, very interesting, it would be fantastic if they are in good nick and can be made to fly.
I was at Ducksford a few years ago and they were 16 Spitfires in the air at the same time, absolutely glorious noise

can you imagin having permision just to get in it!!
this is my favorite aircraft in the world.
I built one of these when i was a kid.
Ive recently picked the model building hobby back up.and yes im doin one of these babies.
