seriously, could this be a con? are the government planning to put the price down next week and so they are making sure we all get a tank full of overpriced stuff at the last minute?

I am well aware of the manty social issues that often involved these habits, i grew up in some of the worst/poorist bits of glasgow where lots of people lived on benefits, parents with drug habits, drink habits ect (blinker's defo not on by some upper class idiot). living on benefits is hard (but not impossible) expecially with kids but is more than doable if ur sensible and don't but stuff u don't need (I know cos i've done it), the goverment aren't supposed to supply money for luxurys like junk food, landline, internet, mobiles, laptops ect ect ect! u want them go work for them! ur benefits are purely for the basics food, electricity, clothing. NO PETS, NO GADGETS,

not saying that living this was doesn't depress u or belittle you cos it certainly does but no1 but urself can make it better for you n ur family but U.

its not victimising any1 just saying that just cos ur parents done it doesn't mean u have to, every child gets to go to school, colleges run standard grade/higher or gcse courses for any1 to better themselves, apprentiships ect so it is completly up to the individual to got off they're a**e n change they're live.

as for the smoking, drinking ect no1 forced it down they're throats (with the exception of a few) so y should it be paid for on the nhs? Boob jobs totally not unless it is a reduction because they causes back problem due to sheer size!

I do agree tho that the goverment did condone it for yrs b4 the heatlh issues were found out about, but we have known about them for decades now, thing like the messages on fag packets and pictures are a waste of money in most cases u smoke the fags not look at the packet (plus ur hand covers it if your holding the packet ) but at the same time they are not gonna ban them as they earn way too much tax on them (fags, booze & fast food) catch 22 yet again

As i said I can't agree with your point of view. I won't go on about it as I can see it is upsetting you and of course none of this has anything to do with the fuel strike.

if everyone panic buys all they can, stocks run out, then
tankers stop, bingo.

lets not blame tankers doing us a favour, just bad timing,
or good as we head for easter holidays as fuel demand
increases but might spoil trips away.

think of them joining the protest fight.

I can't stop driving completely but I have already cut it down to a bare minimum as it is already more than I bear to pay! Now considering building a bio plant in the garage as an alternative!

Likewise, bio is the way forward for a while. Trouble is getting enough waste oil regularly.
Catering businesses are more and more obliged to return their waste oil to their suppliers or loose out on trade discounts. Another way of the Govt stopping cheap alternative fuels and thus reduced revenue.

In reply to Briggie, I think a lot of us already have said enough is enough. The cost of fuel has had a major impact on my lifestyle already and is continuing to do so. I contemplate moving away from my T2 on an almost daily basis, the move is inevitable it's just a matter of when

Well crediton and exeter in devon r running v.low on fuel now thanks government for panic buying so will just have to use 100% new veg oil at just 93p a litre

However I did notice last night that Tesco had no veggie oil at all on the shelf, except the ponsy cooking ones in phallic bottles
The up side of all this though is there'll be less bloody ....................... sorry wont say it
No but 4x4 prices will be tumbling so I can buy a better one for less

Can I mix diesel and vegetable oil in same tank ? Will one sit on top of the other ?

Mix it and go Before going bio I ran neat veggie no probs but not in the winter. So I'd suggest 25% diesel 75% veggie
