i have run mine on 100% veg so I wouldn't worry about it, when you start it it will use the fuel in the line and the returning fuel and the motion of the car would soon mix it.

D you run any kind of heat exchanger to thin the oil down?
Is the ktc stuff from Costco any good?

I fancy trying mine but just got a few concerns, suppose if I try 20 lts it wouldn't cause any serious damage

Been using veg in mine and so far the Terrano hasn't split!

More seriously though, both diesel and petrol will mix of their own accord in veg oil - there's a chemical name for stuff that mixes without outside help but I can't remember it. Either (or both) will remain mixed with veggie when sitting in the tank, you don't even need to rock the truck or drive it like you stole it to make the stuff mix up - but it may make you feel better!

I have run on 100% rape seed oil in the past, I was just concerned over the viscosity of this GM stuff at 100% as apparently it sets like lard at around 5 degrees C and we haven't seen the last of the frosty mornings yet. I often put a small amount in the fridge to see what happens, but I'm not buying 20 litres just for a cup full

So I may stick to the slightly more expensive rape seed oil for a while longer

The small amount u put in the freezer will go solid at a much higher temp then 80l of oil like I said I have been running 100%veg all winter and its not gone solid my twin tank setup won't heat what is in the tank

bear in mind, i don't have a twin tank, or the room for one, and if your tank is inside the car it is to a large extent pretty well insulated.

no the tank in the boot is just a 22l tank for the diesel i start up on this even if i was runninng rape seed oil as on cold start up is when u dont get proper atomisation of the oil thats just me the main tank is filled up with £74 of oil and not £118 of diesel
