Default Watch your speed !!

If you drive an xtrail check your speedo mine reads 30 when it is doing 33 (verified by A speed info camera and A tom tom sat nav ) so dont do your 10% allowed cos the speedo is already doing it , I also wonder as to if the fuel consumption figures are out , pi%*ed me off cos I claim mileage for work ""

I know the tom tom is right cos have been using it with different cars most of which as you say come up with 27 or 28 on t/t when showing 30 on speedo

That needs fixing, apart the obvious when the cameras are out playing, you are only allowed to have a speedo over reading, not under reading.

Obviously itll never be detected under normal circumstances unless your vehicle gets examined for any reason

Don't know if its common in xtrails to under read speed but its definately common in Terranos and other motors to over read. So when the speedo reads 33mph the actual speed would be more like 30. Under reading may be illegal. 96terrano suggestion may be worth looking at.

mine deffo reads 10% too high, says 70 on speedo and 62/3 on sat nav still helps with the fuel consumption as I think I am doing 70 !!!!

ACPO guidance is if drivers speed is equal to or less than speed limit+10%+2mph then no prosecution should be brought.
