just to add somthing
why in the off road world of mods is the t2 not consired worthy world wise with mod's ?? i find that confusing as you can pick up all sorts for the trooper and their is less of them arround than the t2 i am not saying it isnt but the shops are ie safari snorkels, even nissan dont get a say in the aussie lockers side of things |

the truth to that question is the world is a diverse place and that mean every one differs in their taste of motors also fiances dictate what we can all have if they were free and had fee servicing you would have a range rover for day to day things and a play toy of your choice i cant say the trooper is the best car as it isnt and neither is the t2 the 2 cars are pretty much on par with each other both have faults and both have good things about them i dont actually think the t2 has won anything for its off road ability has it |

Who gives a $hit
I dont If the Terrano had the " off the shelf hop ups " like the green ovals & Vitaras then it would be the best NO... We own what we like & is in our budget... My ideal all purpose 4x4 would be the non inter cooled terrano lump in a defender 90 with the comforts of a Shogun That would be perfect for me But would it be the best So we've gone round in a circle you see So Who gives a $hit I dont |

have you noitced how many mods are available for the cars than need the most modding? but whenever we talk about on road ability you talk about off road, when we talk about off road ability as standard you tsalk about mods. I suggest we just stick to caomparison of like for like A T2 TDi as it stands with a troopper 3.1 as it stands! mine hase no gadgets at all! manual windows , no aircon, nothing! but thats' why i bought it cause that's how i like it. So if you love your gadgets you've won. I have a SWB as manuverabiity is more important to me that interior space. I know I couldn't do the things i do in mine in a Trooper as they are too big. Notably reversing very large caravans into very tight soaces and arund sharp bends. Having said that I couldn't do it in a lwb T2 either or our Ranger or or L200. And on the road my T2 out manovers and performs most large 4x4's as it's hading is excleent and it's acceleration very nice so tell us why you like yours. I do love a good debate |

i have to have a lwb due to the kids.
i have loads od gadgets which i like (i am an gadget nut but hate the iphone) i have a warm bum and hot air from the second i start the engine i have a better seat arrangement with the ability to fold the rear seats up out of the way on one side or the other due to needing 6 seats the folding mirrors are handy as i live on a street with no off road parking, also the fact that they are heated and the electirc movement actually works (didnt on my mav) i like the twin door arrangement on the rear door i like my electric memory seats i like how the doors have lights in them when opened i like how i have more space in the car and more leg room in the back i do like the build quality of the horn as everything electrical still works after 15 years i like that i have no rot yet due to only being in this country for 4 years. |

isnt the Isuzu "less popular" simply because Isuzus were always utilitarian, so carried that stigma around in the 90's. Fact is, they are capable vehicles, from a very good manufacturer. I see plenty of Isuzus around, probably as many as I do T2's and certainly more than Mavericks. would I buy one? Yes, a SWB I would, can I afford one, no, they are too expensive for me.
