Default this is stoopid

i have a brilliant car and we have loads of snow , but ... ive been using the disco ... why i hear you ask ...... because if i get stuck in my mistral im fuffed ... i dont have a front towing hook ( because of the massive oil cooler fitted ) ...... and i dont have a towbar .....its really nissing me off because i wanna play in the snow with sally

I wouldnt risk the disco

Ya Mistral has 2 recovery points at the front & rear of the chassis

i think the front tow thingie ( technical term ) was " removed " to make way for the ferking great atf cooler ... well the rac man couldnt find anywhere to tow it anyway .... as for the rear one .... fuff knows ... rac wont tow backwards anyway he said

pete if you get stuck that badly you need rac you wont have a little van come for you lol you will have a flat bed and they have winches lol

I think you will find that the ones on the front are really for tying down the vehicle....I think this was gone into in some depth at least a year ago...I'll see if I can find it.

there is two at the back and one at the front..

back ones are under teh bumper, each side,
front is a pig tail.

lookt at dowload too fro front tow bar.

you shouldn't drag these forward any way iirc manual says rear wheels off the ground

Yes it was & they are for securing / tying down but as said at the time... They have been used with no problem for sensible recovery for years & as they are part of the chassis they are hardly going to fail...

NO

He means that the rear should be off the ground coz its an auto & towed on a dolly

You should be able to be pulled backwards easy enough
