Broken both springs(unlikely), any bushes wouldnt fail all at the same time and even then could only account for a small difference
pmsl @ sterling .....it does seem easier to get in and out of the drivers seat .. as for speed bumps , yes there are loads around here , but contrary to popular belief i always slow down over speed bumps

that would mean the front end is lower

could have been unlucky enough to have broke both springs

no karl , the front end is definately higher , i seem to sort of find it easier to get into the drivers seat , maybe its cos im used to it ? ... dunno ... but im almost certain its higher at the front because there seems to be more clearance from the tyre to the top of the wheel arch at the front as opposed to the back ..... hope this makes sense

Have you checked you haven't run over something at the front,

Maybe the Policeman who was sending you the prosecution.
Could he now be a "Sleeping Policeman" ?

It does sound strange, the bottom hasn't fallen out of you bi-focals has it ? And it just looks sloping.

You haven't parked in someone elses drive have you?

Pete, Have just had a look at your pics when you had your decals fitted and theres 1 of you standing/leaning on the side just before the the rear wheel, maybe if you had a look and tried and compared things in the pic to you ie where your waist belt is or knee height, shoulder height, anything really just pick a few and compare etc then this may help to see if its sagged at the rear, I must say that looking at the pics it dont seem that the arse is dragging at all in fact Id say theres very little in it from front to back,when you look at the pics.

Just a thought eh ?????

ok , ive been driving in it today , still a bit wobbly , my neighbour had a peek and said it looked a normal level height .... its like its softer at the rear if that makes sense ?

ok , phil just got back , he says its a pig to drive because " its a funny auto " .... he also says it " twitches " when going around corners , he thinks it feels too soft at the rear too , but isnt sure exactly what it is

Hi Mr Brigg, the rear bump stops on the terrano are part of the suspension, as you load up the rear the large squashy figure of eight stops are soon reached and become part of the springs support. They do drop off, infact mine didn't have any when I bought it but I didn't know and had a couple of m o ts without them. When mine sagged at the back it was the spring holders which had rotted away. The bump stops are I believe £88 each from Nissan but I got a pair from ebay for £25.
