Default Hi, new here and could do with a few pointers!

Hi

Have just purchased a very nice Terrano 2, 2.7 TDIntercooler and have a couple of questions if you wouldn't mind.

Firstly what are the correct tyre pressures for the vehicle? Have seen F26 R40 banded about, but need a definitive answer. Also looking at maybe setting up with new boots and wondering what people use, will be mainly road work was looking at Pirelli Scorpion STR?

Second question is should I be hearing the turbo whistle? Not overly worried as pulls like a train and no smoke, but curious???

Many thanks for all replies.

Thanks for that. Will take a look, drivers manual is missing or that would have been my first port of call.

Any ideas about the turbo noise? Can you hear it whistle when you accelerate?

mmmmmmmmmm Turbo whistle is good, I like
Tyre pressures are on the door pillar I think, and I'm pretty sure it's the same pressure front and back
PS stump up a tiddly tenner and you'll get all the online workshop manuals

Ahh, I take it all is normal then! (sigh of relief)

Also heard a rumour that some terrano's have the TX1 taxi engine in, is this true? Seen some of those that have done lunar mileage!!!

There's some old threads on here about huge mileages etc. Mines done 180000 so far and gets er well abused

yup, 26 psi at the front, higher at the back, think its 30 or 35. as for the turbo, if you have good hearing, you should hear it, but dont expect much they are pretty quiet...!

Dont panic
Check your air filter for soundness and that it's actually there

Will do, thanks again. Just very strange, wondered if it was normal.
One of the screw clips that goes from the intercooler to the turbo was loose and span freely, have not tried it since tightening last night, but maybe that was a factor too?
