Well I can beat that one, I had a link regarding my MOT at Kwik Fit,(one for the mechanics) I was told breaks were not working, in the end I paid £172 for repair.
My advise 'THINK TWICE' before you use them. |

My Landrover came with the fail sheet from Kwikfit. Most of things on the list were probably there when it was new ;O)

A mate of mine worked at the one in Burnley. He was given a warning for refusing to spray wd40 on an old man's shock absorber. The guy had taken his car in for a so called "free suspension and brake check" there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car, his boss wanted to claim he needed two new shock absorbers. One because it was "leaking" and another as you always change them two at a time...
Robbing, cheating, unskilled bunch of spanner monkeys. Much better off at your local garage |

you get crap mechanics owning garages never mind working for them so I wouldnt pick too much on kwik fit!!!
Couple of years back where I lived there was a Kwik fit that was staffed and more importantly manged by a decent bunch. they were very good and suprisingly good value because theyd price match. No complaints at all about them. I was ripped off by a ridiculous puncture repair cost at one branch and when i complained to their cust services they refunded and a the nice lady who called me told me ALL managers are empowered to dicount prices to price match. Remember that because they do carry some good stock |

My cousin had a similar experience. When they told him the brakes were worn out he asked how that could be as they were fitted at the same place not 2 weeks earlier.
Don't go to Kwikfit. Simple. |
