different service provider, different dns servers, whatever change has occured with the site update, its screwed dns.

thats my thoughts anyways.

If the DNS was screwed no one would be able to access the site.

It is only a very small minority that this has affected... I can not fix what isn't broke this end

it will probably be the dns replication across other servers, not specifically the hosting server i think, hence the random users that cant connect. My suggestion, from a diagnostic point of view, for changing the dns servers manually on the pc fixed it for someone, this is why my thinking is dns. Im just interested thats all, not trying be a jobs-worth!

3 is run by hutchinson telecom, who certainly were part of
orange or a fore runner of orange.

t-mobile or 121 as they started certainly used very similar
mobile platform to orange.

t-mob and orange are in merger talks, and i'm sure fear was
that 3 would get get swept away in process, monopolys
said would end up with just 3 mobile/bb firms.

Any one still having access problem still got problems here have contaced isp say not their fault have installed google web browser still intermitant access. Help!!

Download Firefox and try that....its a known working combination and less intrusive than all that Gurgle shite.

I've been on Firefox for a while now and still get probs getting on to this site
Recently downloaded Gurgle Chrome and WOW things are so much faster AND no issues with the site, no idea why but hey it works for me

well i am back home today for a few hours and thought i would check things out on here. I have another laptop with an o2 dongle for use in the caravan and guess what? NO SITE ACCESS

this one is now fine thanks to Bat21's help

Improving speed and signal strength
Mobile Broadband uses a radio signal. The strength of signal will vary depending on where you are, weather conditions and the construction of the building. If you need a stronger signal strength and improved download speeds, here are some things you can try:

•Using the USB cable that came with your dongle will help to reduce interference from your computer and should make your signal stronger



•Some rooms get a stronger signal than others, depending on thickness of walls. The more windows a room has, the better
•You could also buy a wireless router, which can relay the signal. It can be plugged into a room with a good signal strength. The dongle is then plugged into the router and up to four computers can use it around the house.
•You can also check what level of coverage you can expect in your area on our coverage checker.
We hope these hints and tips have helped. We carefully manage the traffic on our Mobile Broadband network so that everyone has a fair share of the service. So in areas where there is a particularly high amount of internet use (and during busy periods like 6pm to midnight) we may moderate the speed of file sharing, so this activity might feel slightly slower than usual.
