nope. you can run on single tank in warm weather, the colder it is just and more diesel to keep it thin enough

again the other site has loads on info, ideas, views on the heaters. some say the work make a lot of diference, some on the other hand think a waste of time and money.

Really....WOW

My only concern is reliability, that was my original reason for joining this forum, having a wholly unreliable vectra and being offered that 3.0 sve.

I really like the idea of cheap motoring, but don't want to get a bag of spanners or have veggy oil start to introduce unreliability issues

It really makes alot of sense getting a 2.7 running on veggy oil, but having fingers burnt with the vectra I'm overly cautious I suppose.

cant see the problem myself ... trouble free motoring and running on next to nothing.

or get the 3 litre mot it clean it up ... sell it .... then do as instructed above
3.5k will get you an 02 or an early 03 after a lot of searching at best with prices at the moment....and thats private; add a grand or two on for forecourt.

Off to France now....bye!

Hmm, saw that one before, but then when you start spending on kits etc to get it running on veggie oil then to me it then takes a good while to recoup the initial expense. I can see the long term benefits if fuel prices continue to rise, but then just stick to biodiesel etc.

Right, just had a look at a P reg 2.7 SE, 140k on the clock, MOT and Tax running out next month, two tyres needed on the back, last owners had it for past 9 years, tidy motor I suppose but needs some tlc, undersealing, a few rust spots to be sorted, bodywork ok, engine started perfectly from cold.

They're asking £1500, any suggestions?

Oh yeah, and the wheels were seriously corroded, needed shot balsting and painting etc, also the discs were fairly worn, which makes me think they need doing also, so £1k is about right me thinks.
