Yep, have searched that site and waiting a reply regarding the Terrano 3.0, and yeah, I knew veggy oil isn't biodiesel but was surprised that diesel engines will run on veggy oil.
Still finding my feet and seeing if this Terrano will be worth a gamble, would be a better gamble if I could put veggy oil through it, but that's a bonus not a deciding factor I suppose. |

Hahaha, I must admit, if you can get it cheap enough then 'every little bit helps'...lol
If the 3 ltr wont have the veggy oil then I might just go for an older shogun or something that's solid, reliable and can be worked on and will run on veggy oil |

Budget is max £5k, need to get dog, child seat and pushchair in, something I can work on and not have to take it to a stealers to find out a simple fault and parts are cheap, and won't cost an arm and a leg to run, oh and will take biodiesel or veggy oil....fussy?? |

you wouldn't be buying a Maverick for £5k and certainly not a Mistral. well not unless you're an eejyit!
£5k puts you in 2003-5 territory and a final facelift T2 2.7 or 3.0. Eminox have a goode look around and you'll see that the Terrano is the most cost-effective 4x4 you can buy pretty much. Your £5k would buy you a good lowish mileage 2003-4 2.7 TDi that does 23-25mpg but defo runs on anything up to 100% SVO, or a 3.0 that we are not yet sure about but does 32mpg anyway. Same money buys you LRs, Discos, Shotgun, Mitsis etc that are much older and a bag of shite.... |
