Default CB Basics

i am thinking of fnding a cheap used cb, and all the bits to make it work? any advie on Swr meters and all that stuff? Cheers

much better to buy a cheap new cb , the tti is a good cheap cb ...most modern aerials come pre swr'd anyway ,the trouble with used cb's is there is far too many " screwdriver experts " out there , as for swr meters , pick em up on e bay for a tenner , or borrow one , best to get a multiband cb too , one with euro channels , if you want any further advice pm me .

about the only time codes are used is on ssb , and then its q codes

i can remeber 1 4 for a copy from the song 'convoy' will that be any help

language like that went out in the late 80s , although i dont use legal fm much i tend to use ssb , the best lesson i can give you , is rather than just jump in once you get your rig set up , is to listen for a while .
