Hello JB...now you seemed to have calmed down a bit I've come to say hello and welcome mate!

Now tell me something, the ladies of Team Wales told me firmly not to bother with a petrol T2 as they drown as easy as buggery apparently....but yours seems quite happy underwater....apart from the snorkel, have you done owt else to it?

cheers

paul

Dont know about JB but my old petrol ones were fine(well mainly)
I just made sure all the seals were good like on the dizzy and had new leads allover etc.
I only blew the engine in the water cause I hammered it through a ford that was a bit deeper than the duck suggested!
Petrol ones are cheap as chips so not really an issue I dont think
I still prefer the petrol power band but overall the deisel is less likely to be a prob in the wet

Yes my old one was good in water too. Nissan fit a nice little boot on the coil and dizzy and the dizzy cap has a rubber 'O' ring seal too - everything you might have to do to a lesser vehicle (for lesser vehicle rad Rover V8) to keep them water proof has already been done.
