there was a story on central news a while back about a man who was sueing land rover as they sold him a freelander with 'uncompromising off road performance' (land rover literature) he discovered it wouldn't even work on wet grass!

they showed footage of him loosing traction easily on a small grassy slope I would drive with ease in a transit, and being towed out my a sportrak.

never heard anything after that perhaps they settled out of court?

my oposit neighbour has one and their's is the less head gasket prone diesel, but it has the dodgey relays opening the windows at will symdrome! also common get up after a nights heavy rain to find wondows open and seats wet
