Default Steering wheel cover

Hi guy's and girl's I am pulling my hair out (and I ain't got much) looking for one to fit my Troll (the top of the wheel is sun damaged so need to protect it) trouble is all that are available are up to 390mm and my wheel measures 400mm plus, I bought one from Halfords but no way was it going on so took it back to look for a bigger one, no go, called in local factors today still no joy, HELP, Rick

aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

Rick, is the diameter of L/R's steering wheels anything like the Trol.....I had a black one that fitted my old S II bakelite wheel, and they seemed large diameter.......

How about wrapping it with something, I bought a roll of green fabric tape from a survival/army surplus place, its 2" wide, sticks really well and is grippy and durable.

Thats not a bad shout Doug.
Perhaps tennis racquet wrap or handlebar wrap could be an option to.

But how will it react when sat in the sun all day? cannot think of anything worse than a sticky steering wheel, Rick

Good idea, hockey tape or tennis wrap would be good, padded too!

My original terrano wheel was covered in leather that eventually wore through and was terrible. Got a replacement leather cover from halfords which had holes made to stitch it in place, wife made a right neat job of it. It had a seem in it, so I’m thinking could you buy two and extend one with the second one.

How about this kit off eBay, buy two of them and extend one.

no linky there Jim, but I have to say I did find one on Amazon but when I tried to buy it I was automatically signed up to "Prime" which I knew I did not want, it took me ages to cancel that rubbish, I hate Amazon and will not go there again even though that was the only place I found a 16 inch cover, will keep looking, Rick

Sorry Rick, I posted it before pasting the link and then went back in to edit the post so I’m guessing you just happened to be looking as I was editing the post.

Hi,

Had I look on the the net and got better results if I searched under Van or Motorhome steering wheel covers.

This is one site that popped up in the UK.
