Default getting to know pathfinder

Hi folks, I've just bought a used pathfinder with 87,000 on it a 2006 model. It's taking some adjustment as my last car was a Jag 3.0L. The thing thats bugging me more than anything though is the door locking system. I can't get the n/s passenger door open for love nor money. The offside one opens now and again but not always. Has anyone got any ideas or an idiots guide.
Thanks,
AXX

Welcome aboard, i like the look of paths.

My guess is also based on the remotes. As said try another failing that replace battery. What's the manual central locking like when you unlock via key? Terranos have a lock barrel on drivers door only so you can unlock via key.

Thanks for the comments. My key just allows the front doors to open. Not the rears or the tailgate. I've replaced the remote battery but I only had one remote with the car. My local dealer has quoted £145.00 for a spare to be supplied and computerised.
Also today the ignition switch has refused to turn on until I've fiddled it into submission. I have been able to start it manually with the key so hopefully wont get stuck anywhere. I guess I'll end up buying a new remote and replacing one or more locking motors. OUCH!

I suspect the key is very worn as well. If the remote is not working correctly and you are having so many problems with the key I would be going back to the dealer and tell him to supply you a working key. If he agrees which I think it is a reasonable request keep your olf key as a spare.
Take it all the way as having a fully working key is essential to run a vehicle.

I was going to have a look in the guides for you for the Pathfinder but the download site is being moved at the moment.

You may be able to program your own remotes, It's a 2 minute process with the Terrano ones.

Does sound like your key is worn or your barrel is worn, I always get copies made of my spare key new that I never use because I know the blade is tip top and tight
