green terry
a lot of you will know that i have done a lot of work on the green terry.
friday last i found time to take it away and finish the body work. on my way after 60ml i noticed that the clutch pedal needed a lift up with the foot,i got to where i was going 71ml and parked and set about reshaping the fiberglass front wings that i had a job fitting. i needed to do a 6 point turn to get it in the garage and up on ramps as i was rained off 1.5 days and time was running out. the clutch pedal felt wrong so i looked and it had eaten a bit of oil. now i phoned up my man in clacton to forwarn him i will be bringing it to him today. after carefull driving home i got to clactons edge and the pedal felt wrong again. i got to garage and they promptly set about looking and then the clutch died on the pedal and a pool of oil under the rear end. luck i got there and then fault presented its self. i explaned the easy way fastest way to fix and he took me home. got a call a few hours later as their lifts were full. job done he removed it long pipe and blocked the hole, this is the intresting bit,he used a 12mm sump plug that fitted correcterly,so another bit of info if you did not know. not to get it empty as someone hopefully is collecting it saturday. it looks nice now a good excample of terry. |

Well done keeping another truck on the road
I can't think of any reasons not to be a member here. I've saved a fortune and gained more knowledge than I need to keep my truck on the road and met some wonderful people |

So I am now the lucky owner of the green beast from Panelbeater. Was a great day learning about Terranos and oil, all the info and hospitality was much appreceitated.
I decided to go cross country on the way home and avoid the motorways and and enjoy some country miles. Had a few interesting moments when my mind forgot I was no longer in a Jimny or Mx5 and the corners where quickly tightening up. At least if I lost it I could of carried on through the fields lol. I will puts some pics up later on once ive given her her first ( and probably her last) wash tonight. |
