Out of interest the Hankook 4 year warranty ones are worth a look.
I have 2 Yuassa Batteries on tractors I have. Very good indeed. I left one of the tractors for 3 months and went to it the other morning, lifted off the frosty sheet and re-connected the battery and after a little lazy turning, span the tractor over and it fired right up.
The tractor has 4 very good glow plugs on which helps.
Try to steer away from Easy Start if you can. It burns the top end of the engine and will wear it out over time. A little squirt now and then is OK though. Always have a can handy for the old tractors.

Nice truck by the way. Yours is much cleaner inside than mine. They look good in the LWB spec too.
Hope you enjoy it

Have they offered discounted price in the shop?
Yeah Zephyr, from the local branch. Didn't have time to faff around waiting for delivery from anywhere.

So the truck went into the garage today. They've removed the old glow plugs but ones broke in the process !! The guy who drills them out is coming tomorrow morning. So hopefully should have it back by tomorrow evening. Just hope they don't have to take the head off to drill and the dealer stands by his word in paying for it

Breakages not uncommon, on Merccedes the injectors are held in place with a sort of horseshoe spring clamp design on most models. They are often so stuck you can lift the car up off the ground by the injector and it will not come out !

At work they get a Diesel Specialist (Service Motors of Spondon) to do a mobile removal service for the firm as our Technicians cant't or wont do it themselves. In rare cases they have to remove the cylinder head.

Oh My God

I wish I'd have offered to meet you somewhere now on a motorway services and I've have done it for you in the hour I don't know how they've managed that, I've done loads now and never broken one, get the engine hot, soak the hell out of them and slowly untighten and tighten again and keep backing them off little by little until they come out.

I've never even got close to breaking one before, I'm sorry you've had this problem chap!!!

Don't know until tomorrow haha Only got it back this afternoon. If it doesn't start tomorrow I'm guessing it'll be the battery

Sure it will fire a dream!!!! My tip with these is to not only wait for the plug light to go out but wait until you hear the loud click come from the right wing area, that's the relay letting you know it's ready to go

Update on car ! It's starting fine now Took her on a 200mile round trip today from Wilmslow to shap, then back to Oldham and returned to Wilmslow.

On the way home from Shap I started to get a grinding/creaking/knocking sound from the rear end
Not a happy bunny !!! Haven't a clue what it is, I'll have to take a look tomorrow. Just praying it's nothing serious.
