Rear Spotlight Mount Idea

Hi,
Just putting this out there as an idea really for those after a different way to mount lights. Spotted it online and quite liked the look.

Different for sure. I suppose it beats drilling the roof if you don't want to risk spoiling your truck.

I am guessing that as the Terrano does not have a recessed spare tyre area in the door you could easily pick anywhere around the tyre to fit the brackets even a light to the side for a door mounted number plate?

It should be very easy to undo the wheel carrier, use the bolts to fix something to and put wheel carrier back on, if you get me

Would it be worth trying to pick up two of the wheel carrier bolts for stability of the light bracket, say top and bottom on the left for one side and same on the right for the other.

Is there I grommet running through the door for a temperature readout on the dash or something like that? That wiring could be run through without drilling holes.

Tiger seal and lots of it

Mine has a tailgate leak too, needs something threading inside the seal on the tailgate.

Yeh there is the wire for temp sensor.

One of the nuts for wheel carrier on mine has been tacked on by someone so out comes the grinder

I made a mount out of 1" square thick wall tube for the pmr aerial. Mine is like an "H" on its side, so all 4 bolts pass through it, with the aerial bar coming up from one end so it is central on the door.

This makes it very rigid.

I removed the seal & re-seated it 180 degrees so the top became the bottom.
You have to re-position some of the little plastic clips that look like a man on a surf board.
I also re-stuck the top rubber seal above the door, I used some clear glue that sets like rubber. As I found silicone was just pants & didn't stop the water well enough.
We've had some heavy rain on a few occasions since & my boot area is 100% dry
