http://www.mds975.co.uk/Content/maths_primer-rsgb.pdf With my engineering backgrond I am familiar with it, make sure you have a scientific calculator, the Casio ones for GCSE are fine. Wilko Argos etc That's if you are allowed to use a calculator in the exam lol. If you can't get your head around it, post which bit, I'm fluent in Swahilli lol If you have any friends whose kids have recently done "A" level maths or Physics, they would be able to help. Some GCSE sylabus cover some of it, but unless they are going on to study "A" level maths or Physics they will have little interest in it, let alone be able to explain it. lol You might find this useful. https://www.mathsisfun.com/index-notation-powers.html Good luck, best regards, Richard

We were allowed to take in Log Tables, Log to base "e" tables and of course a slide rule ! I had a Faber Castelle Novo Duplex that meant if you used the reverse side it was equivalent to a 24 inch slide rule. It cost me a fortune back then £12. 19s 11p sold it on flea bay a few years back for £40 odd quid. |

Ah wondered if you had been racing this year!, I do not know how you find the time, I struggle to get off road at the mo, gutted a 3 bed house two weeks ago and got 4 weeks left to finish, so been working this W/E, every room has to be re-plastered including over tack all ceilings and skim, got plasterers and decorators in and a knock through next Sat, full kitchen to fit as well as full CH and re wire, will I make it? hope so, Rick
