Camping fridge
Does anyone have any experience of one of these cheap cooler/fridges?
http://www.jacksonsleisure.com/carav...-3-way-cooler/ Is it going to keep my beer cold? How robust are they? |

I would imagine that would be fine for most if not all British weather, 25°c below ambient temp sounds good, I think that is where a lot of them fall, some only cool 15° below.

Cheers.
I like the idea of the canisters as it give a back source of power and makes it a little more portable. |

Sounds good but previous experience of 3 way coolers is that it will eat battery power. Should be fine with engine running etc.

We have just bought a Mobicool FR-35, 240/24/12v fridge freezer during the Amazon Prime day. It has a compressor, rather than using the heat method, and I am very impressed. It goes down to minus 12c, and ran for 60hours on a defunct 75A/H scooter battery.

Even on the hottest days over the summer, it still kept the Ferret food frozen in the awning, I have been well impressed with it... by the way, if you plug it into the mains and 12v, if the mains goes off, it switches automatically over to the 12v, that was very handy when we were away.

The problem with gas is taking it on the road and needing to be kept flat, I think. This will be fine in the truck, it's bloody quiet too.
