Question Anyone know any good BMW forums ?

I have a couple of issues with my recently purchased 325 SE and tried to register with the below forum but it will not let me register as it say I have not answered the question correctly. I have typed in BMWM5 and I run out of tries. Even tried including the colon and hyphen !
http://bmwenthusiasts.co.uk/

Anyone here on a BMW forum that's free and whorthwhile ?

I have two issues with the new motor one the remote control unit that acts as a key is playing up as it does not seem to retain the key and it's not keyless go. You can remove the key and the engine keeps on running and when you press the start/stop button and remove the key you can still start it again. If I have any house keys on the same ring then they all fall out at the first sign of a bump in the road!

Other issue is a strong smell of fuel from who knows where when I brimmed the fuel tank. Can't see any fuel on my garage floor and under the hood is dry and smell free. I suspect its either the filler pipe connection or if I am very unlucky a perforated fuel tank on the top somewhere. There could be other reasons for the fuel smell but the BMW is a complete unknown at the moment.

These two problems aside I quite like the new motor.

Talking Yep should have asked do we all hate BMW's !

In the meantime found another forum, the Dealer is going to fix the car this week hopefully.

Thought there might have been a few current or former BMW owners on our forum but maybe it's something no one want to own up to !

Default BMW dash mounted remote control/ key holder

This video shows the bit of kit better than any picture I could upload.

I take the car to Grantham in the morning and will leave it with them until it's fixed.

Exclamation Switch housing & Petrol tank !!

Had a call from the Garage who are fixing the BMW they have ordered a new housing for the key as its separate from the electronic part of the switch its only around the £65 mark for the faulty part I understand.

The petrol smell is due to a split along the top seam of the plastic fuel tank. Part on order should take a couple of days to get one. As things stand all this is being paid for by the dealer who sold me the car.
