Default Rear diff Carrier

Hi guys,can the rear diff carrier on a T2 be removed with out any special tools,and without damage.Thanks..

depends on what diff you have, the heavy one that bolts in from the front comes out complete, just remove half shafts prop and nuts round diff, the later type remove half shafts cover plate on the rear four bolts on the outer bearings and the crown wheel and diff gear carrier will come out leaving the pinion in the axle, but will need setting up on replacement, Rick

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.
