Angry Nissan terrano regulus automatic

Hi guys I am looking for some help please. My terrano is running fine but
Idle speed of the engine is 650rpm and vibrating really bad
I have tried to adjust the pot and the coiled spring on the pedal
But not had much joy.
Is there anything I can plug in and adjust it electronically
I like the Jeep but if I can't get this sorted I'm just going to sell it
Its really doing my head in

As I think i said in one of your previews posts I had this problem and try'd everything to cure it ,to no avail. I eventual took it in to a local main dealer and they told me it was the injector pump that needed replacing, it ran for another two months like this and then just died, no response from pedal at all, just tick over 650 ish. I try'd every thing to fined the problem with much help from members on here but no luck, so sold it spares or repair in the end.

Thumbs up hopefully not

Hi thanks for the reply I am hoping its not the pump
Apart from tickover its running great
When the air con is on the engine speeds up
And when the quick heat button is on the engine speeds up also
I have put a cable tie to hold the pedal down slightly and its kinda
Working OK but would like to get it sorted

Default Check manual diagnostics section.

Is there anything in the download site workshop manual they have a r3mR manual that applies to the PR50 platform like yours ?

There is a comprehensive diagnostic section in the manual as I recall.

You could get a consult interface off ebay and hook it up to ECUTalk see if that picks up anything on the read outs, The guy who bought mine said he thought he had traced it back to some sort of solenoid in the pump, PM davenclaire, I know he has had his Bosch pump in bits.He may know if there is one

Are you downloading it onto a PC? it probably won't work on a Tablet or phone.

Basically, you download it, where it will be saved on the PC. You then run the file, which will self extract into a folder on your PC. If on a later Windows software you may have to click on "More Info", and press the "Install anyway" button.

Then go to the folder it extracted to... most likely "downloads\Terrano R50" and double click on fwd.pdf or idx.pdf.

To make things a bit easier, I have put the section on engine control up on my web site, so you should be able to read it on anything...

http://www.lazy-ferret.co.uk/NissanForum/ec.pdf

I will take this off again after a week, which should give you time to download it.
