This could be the logical conclusion.
Rustic, as usual, you are correct

I noticed my T2 kicking out left on a nasty local roundabout, in wet greasy conditions.

Changing the LSD oil does help, but you just learn to drive gently, not a sports car, or conventional car.

Both are LSD.

I believe it is post 2002 vehicles that are more likely to have the C200 diff, as my 3.0L is on a 52 plate and has the larger H233B fitted.
I can confirm that, I consulted the Oracle........this forum and mine on a 2002 3.0ltr is the heavier H233B diff........I put 3ltrs of LSD oil in.......and it didn't seem enough!?

Hi and welcome to the club.
I had similar experiences with a loose back end when I first drove mine. Mines an 04 3ltr and also an auto box, so once it let go it was over, unless you were lightening quick chucking it into nutural!
I spent a day changing all the oils, using the comma website, as I have a local motor factor who is well stocked. It completely transformed the way it drives so would recommend this as a high priority job.
I love my terrano. It's christened the Turd, but only cos the back shocks were goosed when I got it so a bit unjust now.
mmmmm. That could have been why it was a little skittish
Oh and one last quite important thing......
PHOTOOOOOOOOOS

As said they are RWD motors so the back end can slide out & this gets worse when the rear diff needs an oil change The other thing is tyre pressures front should be 26psi & rears is 26-28psi I think for 16" rims (17" wheels is 26F & 29R) sadly a lot of people think the tyres need around 40psi garage put 40 in my new tyres & almost lost control of the truck just after leaving the garage on a wet night stopped & lowered the pressures down to where they should be & it was spot on

If you change the diff oil make sure the filler plug is loose before you
drain the old oil.

is the 3.0 manual or auto,

not related to spin out but if towing need to be aware gross trailer weight on manual
is 3000 kg, but on auto its only 2000kg. thinking horseboxes can be on heavy side....
