My uncle used to own it and had it MOT'd before he sold it to me. He told the MOT guy that it should be 44k odd not 744k, but he told him that he had to put down what he saw at the time of the MOT. I mean 700k in one year FFS!

I bought it and went to see the MOT guy and he was no help. I had to go to my local VOSA MOT center and get one of their MOT guys to verify it was indeed 44k odd miles. Luckily for me my fix held up and to be fair to them I went to see VOSA at 2pm and the next morning I had a fresh MOT cert in the post

Now it is playing up again, sometimes blank, sometimes working OK, then reading 700k more

if its any help i had to solder mine up a couple of times, had to do all the pins not just the ones i thought had a dry joint, with regards to the speedo i upgraded the dash lights to i think 2w, then the speedo starting sticking after about 30mins of use with the lights on, ripped it out again and sourced the correct wattage bulbs 1.2w i believe and the problem I created now went away, might be worth checking that you have the right bulbs

what do you mean ? . when I ask my garage where I get it moted he said I could get a second hand one and just change it over . because you don't need to see the mileage for a mot

Do you mean all the joints that are in a line behind the LCD display or others as well?
