Moral of the story is the title above

Rick mentioned ages ago I needed to tackle my rear brake cylinders, I put my fingers in my ears but now I've spotted this...

Are you sure it is brake fluid

I had a similar leak, BUT it was the wheel bearing and the seal as it was gear oil.

I wished it was the cylinder... price wise...

This is as clear a picture as I can get, how can we tell what this is?

The rub n sniff test is pointless as the wheels are so filthy anyway..

Just check the reservoir, if it's low then you will know for sure...and remember to top it up before you go for a drive or it could get very interesting

Not wise to drive it like that, if you have a RTI you could get a healthy fine for knowingly driving a motor vehicle with faulty brakes Don't do it, could finish up in nick

Your theory is sensible and a wise decision, however it leaves me with no choice (on the Saturday morning) as I must drive to ricks to get the problem sorted

At the moment she is sitting outside parked up and will remain there until my trip
