Got washed by two women today

If it's underseal WD40 or paraffin gets it off your skin great & head & shoulders is the only shampoo I know that gets it out of your hair

WD40 will also shift the underseal off any of the paint work aswell

sprayed up behind my bumper & arches & didn't notice until the next day I had over spray on the back door & 1/4 panels

sprayed it with WD & rubbed it off with a rag

Erm, well kind of a horrid mix of hammerite paint and underseal with Wayoyl contained.. Mucky Mucky stuff. Didnt help that the can glooped on the floor and I leant my head in it

A horrid white spirit rub down was needed

Take care using any solvents, especially cellulose thinners type.
What they do is dissolve the muck, it then goes into solution, which depending on the solvent can help it pass through the skin.

This can lead to dermatitis or worse can transfer all sorts of nasties into the blood stream, then it's free to attack your internal organs.

Ok, the odd bit now and again, we've all done it, but if this is your normal way of working, then think again.

Swarfega or similar products are better for the skin, but do require a lot of working in, before you wash off with water.
I use a scrubbing brush, but also a foam backed pan scourer, which I find works better.
I find constant washing with washing up liquid, dries the skin, and you end up with deep cracks in your skin.

Rubber gloves fall apart when in contact with waxoyl, and they grip too well when you are fitting nuts and bolts and get caught in the threads and rip.

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.
