Default Insurance price???

Morning all, can any one recommend a good insurance company for insuring a NISSAN TERRANO 2 (96-99) SE TOURING 2.7tdi? only asking as getting prices around £450 and not sure if that is good. only using it as a third car for small trips etc.

hi mate, that's probably not far wrong - its all down to area, your circumstances etc etc. I used Sky InSurance, I THINK it was just less than £400 - its not my daily driver either but you know what insurers are like! You can also ask them about mirroring no claims from another car, I did that - don't ask me how it works, it just did!

I have used LV for years and find them pretty good. I do have full no claims though and never just do automatic renewal.

over 15yrs old qualifies as a classic car policy, if you are amember of a club. be about £100 fully comp with ltd mileage. you can not accrue no claims bonus on it tho.

now my ins is due 21st,i am with axa and last year it was about 350 over the year.
i had the auto renew come through at 325ish over the year a bit cheaper but i will be paying in one go this year.
i cancelled the auto renew and out of curiosity went to their site and did a complete price joby.
it came in at 228 a lot cheaper than the pay in full price, so then i went on compare sites and lo and behold the same cover from axa is near the cheapest ones. 1 at 202 1 at 204 same everything,so i have been in touch with axa asking why and if they will beat the prices if i stay with them as no commission will need to be paid out.
but its still a con so shop around every time.
i will let you know what happens.

Did you ask them to match other quotes (even ones without any mods)?

Im 25, about 5yr ncb. I pay £300. But I do live in a rural low crime area.

I was offered a price of £480 from a place called octagon but there reviews are far from good and next was £700.Im guessing its the fact that im in bristol that make's it so high as well.If i went for what i was looking at first,a 1995 maverick it would of been £300ish
