green swb terrano in manchester
Hi guys, anyone know of a green swb terrano 98 3 reg for sale at sb cars in manchester ? Looking at it on ebay, spoke to the seller, looks and sounds good, but you never know. Anyone know the car, or even better, is anyone in the area willing to go see it for me ? I love the look of it and the price but I can't get up there to view it. Its on ebay, item number 281248052562.

I have sharp eyes, but does the nearside front wing look as if it has been resprayed or repaired, as it might be the angle, but the relections on it look a little blurred, and the colour match to the door is odd, but it might be the position of items close by causing that effect.
However, we all know that front wings are a potential issue on these vehicles. I would be wanting to look under the carpets under those rear seats before I went to the expense of a tank full of fuel to view it. It looks ood from the outside, good price, but depends on how much work is needed.

I noticed that wing too but I think its just the angle, as it looks ok in the other photos. The seller said the wings are a bit scabby round the arches so I don't reckon its been repaired, and no signs of rust underneath, so that's good.
The big thing for me is that it's a petrol. As I recall they do the same MPG and the diesels ? |

definitely rusty sills - you can see the rust has marked the side steps. I reckon itll be scabby in all the usual places.

I'd avoid this like the plague!!!!
I rang up earlier and the guy was very unhelpful, every time I asked a question he just kept saying "I've no idea mate, it is what it is for £700", I finally asked when was the last time the timing chain had been replaced and he put the phone down on me

yup, and I HATE that "it is what it is at £700", essentially what he is saying is "ill rob you for £700". From that, id say its worth scrap value at most.

N/S wing certainly looks like a diy fill and spray job. Tyres miss matched . The wheels look nice but look like they're off something else. the good tyres that were probably on it have gone
As said above, all the usual rusty points are showing themselves and that suggests the MOT maybe a little erm optimistic There was one on here a few days ago for 300 quid I think . |
