A 2001 Terrano is £1500-2500
For the same reason as old vw camper vans (iconic)They really are not worth the money but we love them so pay the extortionate prices.
Another example is my patrol, its worth about 2k but the last range rover I had was one year older but similar condition yet worth at least double that. Go figure
Not that I got what it was worth

Now with a Mitsi, can you get an 8 foot Christmas tree in there, and secure the doors, or a 10 foot length of Copper Pipe?

No... You can in my LWB Mav, plus lots of other things.

TO be honest though, I would have liked to get an 8' x 4' piece of plywood, chip board or plasterboard in there, as when I use my small trailer, if it hasn't rained for weeks, it always chooses to rain during the return trip from the supplier...

Mind you driving a VAN on the off chance of happening to buy a sheet of ply on a whim, is highly unlikely.

What's with this buying something every week for the Terrano...
At least it will get you into the habit of buying parts for a LR...

We have John Craddock's, (LR parts supplier) only a few miles away, and to be fair, they gave me a great price on my 15" Avon Ranger tyres. ( was a while back now though).

They were really impressed with the rear diff on my Mav, with it being in the middle of the axle, unlike a LR, which is offset, as they only needed one trolley jack to raise the rear.

Okay, after a massive round trip and going all over the place in my own head and the world of eBay/autotrader I've decided I'm keeping my pride and joy. It's my work truck and offroader and I'm going to see it thru in terms of its development, and I want that lokka

Still selling the zafira in new year and getting another Terrano for the mrs, a nice late sport model and banking the change

iv been following this post and am glad you have seen sense and decided to keep your mav yes its tempting to change to something else but you have a cracking motor their it all works. how many LR do you see in sweden/finland ? not many they often have modded nissans .

glad common sense has prevailed

Blood hell Mate, I thought we had lost you there...

I have only done one P&P day, but LR's were everywhere with bonnets up or jacked-up being worked on because something had failed. I did not see one Jap motor broken down.

in the days of our swb patrol ownership and pay and play sites we never once broke down unlike the LR boys. on one occasion the wife drove around the site and offerd a tow to some essexs boys dead in the deep water. they declined her kind offer unaware i could here them after saying never a toe from a jap car and even worse a woman driver. they were still there hours later when we drove threw the same deep water wife at the wheel waving good buy lol

place was called gravel mania once famous about 20 years ago featured often in 4x4 mags
