in the mire again
yep well and truly in it again, the motor has not turned a wheel since my last outing, think it was around August, and standing does not do a motor a lot of good, guess I must have ruptured a CV boot off side as it was not long before nasty noises emanated OSF was not driving any more, then a little later a clunk and NSF the same, so it seems I am blighted by front shaft failure, and I was being very sedate today, oh well it was still a good day, hope to do at least one more before Xmas, Rick

Nah mate, not unless you drive like a nob with 35" tyres. I offroad with mainly landies, they are easy to fix and cheap.
I've broke 2 cvs now on 31" tyres ... |

have to say I have had better, new winch bitch was not a patch on my old regular girl, bit droll to say the least, and my own fault on the motor as been far to busy to carry out proper maintenance, but build project nearing completion, so will have more time soon, says me ho ho, some hope, Rick

I know quite a few who have done it running smaller than 35" tyres. I sold my last Terrano for a V8 Disco 2 & what a huge mistake that was I spent more money & time fixing the disco in 2 months than I did on the Terrano in 3 years & I drove the Terrano hard on/off road plus the Terrano was far better off road. Would I have another Disco 2 ? no chance you couldn't pay me enough hence why I spent 18 months looking for another T2 TBH the only good thing was the sound of the V8 when you opened it up but 4mpg hurt the pocket alot

My T2 was on 33s for ages and driven like I stole it at all times , even more so off road. Never had a CV problem. Now on 35s ( not driven for a while mind) but I do have Calmini top arms and limited my lift to 2"
TROL is the way forward though, bloody awesome strength all round |

DIsco 750 quid.yuuup buy one and kill it on pay and plays on a trailer. or use the 750 quid on an upgrade on the truck you told me not so long ago that you loved. no brainer. its rust free good motor. spend the cash on front axle |

have to say, I like my T2 and it is only since I upgraded with the MAF amp that I have done so many shafts, but maybe that is just coincidence, and of course used shafts are what they are, no idea what they have done in the past, Rick
