I bought 2 new laptops yesterday but decided against the offer and bought 2 Toshibas fom empire direct instead as i paid cash they threw in some mini mouse's (or is it mice? : ) and bags. I discovered as a member of the NUS i can get orange mobile broadband for £10 a month anyway.
A tip though dont go for 3 network if their broadband is as bad as the phone service it will be a waste of time! |

i took up one of the pc world offers last time round (about 2 years ago). same kinda deal with orange being the provider.
i thought there would be a catch but got dragged in by the missus. ended up being a good deal, with the laptop i chose i think it cost me about £30 in total then just the monthly charge. through it i also get free daytime and evening phone calls to any landline number in the uk. all in all it turned out to be a great deal. get in quick though, by the time we got in their wasnt a great selection of laptops left. |

NUS - National Union of Students, you can get mobile broadband from 3 different providers for £10 a month with an 18 month contract if you are a member.

I have a Fujitsu/Siemans Laptop and 3 Dongle thingy package.
Pay 35 a month for it, with 5gb allowance. Went for the bigger allowance package, which wasnt clever as even the first month using a lot i never iven got to 2gb lol. Never had a problem with getting coverage, was very hany on my camping holiday in newquay. I have Bradband at home though with a CAT 5e wired network, so use that when I'm in the house mostly, its only when I'm on the Xbox and the wife wants to spend all my cash on ebay the 3 Dongle get used now. |

Anyway, the laptop offer seem to be pretty good, i know with mine after the 18 month contract I can cancel the internet and still keep the laptop. I think of the £35 i pay, £15 is for the internet and the other £20 is actually for the Laptop, so over the 18 months Ive paid £360 for the laptop. |
