Hey welcome aboard, it's a common problem. These motors shouldn't be run in 4wd on a hard surface and also lack of use, both reasons for this happening. It happened to mine too.

I've been a member on here from the start and saved more than the membership every year. I've seen similar posts every year when the snow comes. When the 4wd is fixed you'll be hard pressed to find a better machine, then you'll be pulling the Disco's out of trouble

When you have paid your £10 you'll start fixing the problems you never knew you had..

Most things on these trucks can be fixed very cheaply, or for free.
I spent £6.50 last year on mine that was one of the more expensive years.

I'll give you a free fix..
When on full lock you may hear a graunching noise.
Cost to repair.... free... put a bit of grease on the steering stops, 2 each side on the front hubs, one at the front... one at the back of the hub...

now watch this space for more...

Best regards, Rustic

I haven't mentioned the MAF or the Mini filter issue, or the wet carpet in the passenger footwell, or the wet rear carpet. These are all free fixes too?

So it's ok I won't say how these are fixed...
