Best things you've found in cars at the scrap yard
Come on guys, we've all been there clambering in and around cars in the scrapyard and come across things and though....... JACKPOT!!!!!!
What have you found? Things I've managed to come across include Various High Quality Ratchets and Spanners - Often in the boot left by the previous owners and other scrap yard ratters £6 in change down the back seats of a Ford Focus A tube of about 25 brand new Fishing Pole floats A Sergio Tacchini Mens Umberella Fuses, spade connectors, washers, nuts, bolts There may have been more but I can't remember at the moment |

I am missing out... All the breakers I know around here now only let you buy stuff they have pre-stripped, and is off the shelf, apparently Health and Safety, no Customers out the back...
In the old days of proper cars Like Wolseley 2200, and Triumph 3000, we were allowed to go in there... and spent practically every other lunch time down there, trying to keep the cars on the road for another week... Mind you, even then, they used to check your tool box in and out, to make sure you had not picked up anything else. Apparently we are just not trust worthy down souf... |

All the yards around here are now like shops, you go to the counter and see if they have the part.
How I miss climbing over old bangers and finding goodies |
