Yours is definitely a TDI not a TD.

I have had similar oil issues and there is loads of stuff about it on here, i think i have finally sorted it today, I will let you know when I'm sure

when you've paid your tenner you can have a search through all the threads

I run mine about 30% svo (veggie oil....£20.35 for 20 ltrs in costco) 70% derv which saves me about £8-10 a fill up so a saving ... I agree about 30 mpg which I seem to get regardless of how hard I try to do better, oh and about 23/24 mpg towing the caravan

thats a shame, although I understand why. Times are hard right now, especially with the cost of diesel.

Mine costs 25p per mile, I keep a book & buy 30 litres when the warning light comes on, log mileage & cost so I have a fairly good idea of running costs.
Not done much mileage less than 1000

I'd say auto trader is an arse. The TD is lame and wont go up hills without using ALL the gears. I'd have thought the TDi would have been better as it's got more torque.
I run mine on neat bio at 82p a litre, although I do buy a 1000 at a time.
You can run on neat veggy this time of year till winter then to be safe drop to 50/50. Veggie in tesco at about 97p at the mo, but should be cheaper in catering wholesale outlet.
So come on man pull your finger out and get a TDi
