took this on my way to work one day, just before Empire Direct went bust

Hmmm did the owner of that business open up another business by any chance (cough cough).

So had some one changed the poster or was the photo played with?

i thought empire was big catalogue comp,like kays,littlewoods etc?

Think probably that was Empire Stores, seem to remember they got swallowed up by Great Universal Stores (GUS), as far as I know Empire Direct was a different (internet only) company. We bought our Panasonic tv from them and the 5 year warranty isn't up yet, be interesting if it goes wrong!
