Price of scrap lead
Anyone know the price I can expect for scrap lead/soldering lead per kg.
They are all in ingots and about 35kgs in total. Got some at work from when we changed to lead free. |

£1000 per tonne, ie 1000kg, so £1 per kg then. So you have £35 value. But your soldering lead will probably have a percentage of tin as well, so maybe a little less. And less if it contains flux.

If you want to make more money, buy a few fishing weight moulds, melt the lead in a suitable pan with an outdoor gas ring with plenty of ventilation... and sell sea fishing weights.
