Takes me back to my Heavy Vehicle Recovery days had a 6 X 6 11 toner with all the diff locks inter axle and across but I soon learn that it was pointless trying to pull another truck out of mud as soon as my 6 wheels made a small divot the traction required to pull both out was not attainable, (as you saw in that clip) so soon realized strap me down and then use the winch with shieve blocks and anchors, only thing that ever defeated me was a 32 ton D8 cat that was bellied in deep mud JCB got him out after digging tons of soil out of the way, made a bit of a mess of the golf course though, my best was a 44 ton mobile crane above his axles on a building site I had all my wire out 25mm diameter and 6 blocks and a drot pushing from behind took a whole day, this was in the 70s so a 44 ton crane was rather large then, they were the days, Rick

I think he was trying to pull cross the rut at that point to get some fresh meat under the treads

Sometimes works if your vehicles tough enough and youve no other option

We used to have treads on LRs same as that first truck they were noisy on road and poor off

they seemed to be pulling at an odd angle from the off! when you saw how ell the patrol came out forward, why not do it that way in the first place? Still it's all a lot easier from my armchair

Default SECOVERY rUSSIAN STYLE

YOU SHOULD NEVER SET OF LIKE THAT ALL THEY DID WAS SPIN WHEELS AND DIG THEMSELVES IN.
Set of steady and very often you can climb out.
